Oconomowoc, Wisconsin

I'm gonna start this blog off by saying I'm going to make it a point to update on a regular basis because it's so hard to go 2 weeks without blogging and then try to cram everything in to one post. Plus, my memory is legendarily bad and details get lost in the fray.
Anyway, I just got back from spending the past 9 days in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin with MTV. And SINCE my memory is so terrible, I'm going to bullet point my favorite moments of this epic, midwest saga. Here I go, try to follow along.

1. A group of tween girls taking cell phone pictures of Jesse at the baggage claim in Milwaukee.

2. Jeff and I getting our rental car upgraded for free because of the whole "MTV" thing. (Thank you, Molly at the Milwaukee airport Enterprise!!)

3. Riding at Olympia. Maybe the teeniest little hill you'll ever see! But I love all of the locals there. They're so nice and obviously love skiing and snowboarding an insane amount to
go out every night of the week and shred a 50 yard vertical drop.

4. Maybe the most surreal moment of my life so far has been signing a ton autographs in the lodge at Olympia for all these local, die-hard shred kids. I think I know how Shaun White feels now because that's who I was treated like! I signed goggles, jackets, helmets, bindings, boots, boards, sweaters, body parts, receipts, you name it! Insanity.

I mean, wow, right?

5. Sam, one of the cool dudes who works at Olympia, lost a bet to another cool dude who works at Olympia so I got to cut and style his beautiful, long hair into a much more conservative 'do. I think I did alright, seeing as to how I don't cut hair for a living and I was using like, child safety
art class scissors. He's still super cute!!!
The "after" pic. :-D

6. Spotted Cow. My new favorite beer! Thanks, Mike!

7. Going bar hopping in Delafield and Milwaukee. I got in a fight with a bouncer at this club called Trinity but I won. Then we all left and went across the street to a different bar where all of our drinks were comped. Yeah...I don't remember a lot about that night.
I'll own you in pool.

With some of my boys at some bar in Milwaukee. I didn't catch the name.

8. Getting coffee and food at Winestein's every morning with some of my favorite guys: Jeff Meyer, Jonathan "Hershy" Hershberger, and Jesse Csincsak.Me and Jesse getting our soup onnnn.

9. Saturday night. Free hummer limo. Free dinner + 3 drinks. Free VIP bottle service at Apartment 720 in Milwaukee. We all got Grey Goosed. The goose was definitely loose. It was one of those nights where you wake up, get together with your friends, and slowly piece everything together.
Limo loves!
All of us silly pro snowboarders with some former The Bachelor contestants and friends! (L to R Jonathan Hershberger, Natalie Getz, Brent Behling, Kristin Massimino, Me, Nikki Kaapke, Jesse Csincsak, Suzie Williams, Mike Musser, Ann Lueders)
Hummer limo! Drivin' to da club.
My awesome party buddies, Kristin and Natalie! I think we all were a few drinks for the worse at this point.

10. Chinese food at Fong's in Oconomowoc on Sunday. If there's anything more satisfying than chinese food when you're hungover, I'm unaware of it.
There's no great reason for why I'm not looking at the camera. Also, look at Hersh's eyebrow. It got sliced up in the chaos of Saturday night. Kind of like the huge bruise I have on my back from falling down a spiral staircase.

Now of course there are a million other reasons to like Wisconsin. Like, I'm fairly certain I tried my first cheese curd on Saturday night and it was delicious. And a Packer's jersey is considered acceptable work attire on a game day. The sunrises are brilliantly pink. Jeff and I were working out at this gym and got free, bootcamp style personal training from the owner Kevin Ellis. We couldn't fully extend our arms for a few days. It was also kind of hilarious how obvious it was that Jeff, Jesse, Hersh, and I weren't from Wisconsin. We'd walk into a restaurant and people would stop eating to stare at our beanies and brightly colored puffy jackets. I'm psyched to go back in February to finish up some filming and compete in ChillFest!

I love and miss you Wisconsin,
Meesh

p.s. Anyone reading this who has an iPhone NEEDS to download the app Words With Friends. And when you get it, ADD ME! I'm meeshjibs. It's all we did during our downtime last week. Well, except Jesse. He has a stupid Blackberry.

SO MUCH GOING ON!

So I just got back from visiting my family and friends in NYC and I realized I hadn't blogged in FOREVER. Anyway, so much going on!!!
I'm thinking it would be more "reader-friendly" to just number all the amazing things going on with me lately...

1. I was munching on some spinach salad one night after a long day of riding when I got a call from Kim Gustafson over at Opedix (http://www.opedix.com). He said they would love to have me as a team rider and overnighted me some AWESOME tights. These tights have helped my riding so much and I haven't even had them for a full week. It's crazy to say but I'm jumping AT LEAST 30% higher than before. It's sooooo sick!!!

2. Julie, my incredibly awesome pilates instructor, is now my incredibly awesome sponsor. She is solely responsible for my rock hard ass and my abs of steel...mostly because she makes me laugh so hard. Check her out if you want to get incredibly fit, incredibly fast. (http://www.brilliantbodiesbyjulie.com)

3. I got a huge-
ass shot in the Summit Daily during the Dew Tour here in Breck. It is the coolest feeling
to see yourself in a newspaper. I highly recommend it. Here it be. Jeff Nass is the man.

4. Went to Wolf Creek Monday night. Woke up Tuesday morning to 4 feet of fresh. Epicness ensued. Most snow I've ever seen!!!

5. Rode a mechanical bull with a sprained neck to get a free bandana...cuz I'm a whore.

6. Got home from my New Year's vacation to a big ol' box of awesome hats and facemasks from my loves over at Screamer (www.screamer.com). I'm wearing one right now. It's fleecy and awesome.

Love, peace, and balls,
Meesh Hytner

p.s. I mean gumballs. I bought a bunch in NYC. They're kind of my new thing.
